Our Client A very large General Contractor who has built High Value projects in southern Ontario across the High-Rise Residential, Institutional, Commercial, Industrial & Health-Care space. They have been in business for close to 70 years and work on some of the most complex & engaging projects in the construction industry.Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams for one or more projects, while managing all aspects of the project life cycle ensuring required performance deliverables of quality, cost and schedules are achieved. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of the projectResponsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with owners, architects, consultants, trades & public, while promoting the client's services and ensuring client satisfactionEnsure compliance with client's Health and Safety Program, provide key leadership, set examples, ensure safety minutes are providedEnsure compliance to client’s Policy & Procedures ManualSupervise, mentor, coach and train project personnelDemonstrate a thorough understanding with the terms of contract documentsEnsure Notice of Project is issuedEnsure that all permits, insurance and bonding are in placeAssist in the tendering and award of trade contractsConvene pre-construction meetingEnsure material and subcontractor tenders are issued in a timely mannerEnsure that all subcontractors receive drawings and specificationsManage the budget processParticipate in the design process when requiredManage the value engineering process when requiredPrepare the baseline schedule; maintain and update it throughout the project.



Track delays and apply for Extensions of Time and additional costs. Ensure letter of delay are issued when required.Manage the Change Order processManage cash allowancesManage and resolve contractual and technical issues with consultant’s and tradesPrepare and present monthly Project Cost ReportsPrepare a cash-flow and update it as requiredPrepare monthly progress billings and monitor receipt of payment certificatesReview and authorize sub-trade and material payments and ensure accurate cost codingEnsure that sub-trade/supplier’s accounts are reconciledProcess shop drawings/ samplesEnsures submittal log and RFI logs are prepared and implementedConduct regular site reviews and meetings; ensure that minutes aredistributed accordinglyDeal with all day to day correspondence and ensure that the job site receives all correspondence in a timely mannerApply for substantial performance and total completionEnsure that deficiencies are dealt with in a timely mannerEnsure that all final monies are received at the end of projectAct as a liaison between all Project Team members, both internal and externalAssist in securing new work by participating in estimates,



proposals and presentations as requested Skills and Attributes The proven ability to successfully manage construction projectsAbility to resolve project disputes effectively in a timely mannerThe proven ability to effectively manage and inspire staffSelf starter with excellent attitude and initiativeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent presentation skills Qualifications Engineering degree (Civil/Construction/Architectural) or Technical College diploma in Construction Management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experienceMinimum 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in the ICI construction industry or Multistory Residential space doing new build projects.Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling, and safety requirementsGold Seal Certified an assetLEED Accredited an assetComputer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft ProjectSuretrak, Primavera P3 or P6Axis Accounting Software an assetProcore and BIM software knowledge an asset Working Conditions and Environment Primary work locations are Head Office and Project SitesProject related travel anticipatedExposure to construction work site environment in all seasons Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $135,000.00-$175,000.00 per year Benefits: Company pension Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Profit sharing RRSP match Vision care Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Experience: project management: 10 years (preferred) Work remotely: No COVID-19 precaution(s): Remote interview process Social distancing guidelines in place Virtual meetings #J-18808-Ljbffr
