Tl'etinqox Government is seeking a committed School Counsellor who will play a pivotal role in nurturing K-12 students. The position involves working in partnership with local Elders and applying community-based healing practices. You will provide guidance and crisis support using trauma-informed methods while collaborating with school staff and families to foster student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver social and academic guidance to students
• Use restorative justice and cultural values in support plans
• Address crisis situations with proven wellness strategies




• Partner with teachers to create effective IEPs and safety plans
• Mentor staff in conflict resolution and emotional learning
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in relevant counselling field
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate required
• Knowledge of First Nations cultures and histories
• Experience in trauma-informed care practices
• Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
