Help shape the futures of children in Edmonton by becoming a Volunteer Mentor with Start2Finish's Running & Reading Club. This role encourages literacy and an active lifestyle among children aged 6–13.
This fulfilling chance is hosted at Belvedere School on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. As a mentor, you will engage students in both reading and fitness activities that are designed to enhance their self-esteem and create positive relationships. With just two hours of your time each week, you can support meaningful educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in engaging fitness activities with children
• Read one-on-one with students to enhance literacy skills
• Assist in serving healthy snacks during meetings
• Lead literacy games and supportive activities
Requirements:
• Willingness to go through a background check
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Agreement to adhere to volunteer conduct standards
• Ability to commute to Belvedere School
• Experience with education or community outreach preferred
