As part of your responsibilities, you will coach and instruct learners using active support strategies tailored to their needs. You will engage with community partners like the Waterloo Catholic District School Board and Cambridge Memorial Hospital, fostering essential skills in a supportive workplace. Your ability to build relationships and encourage independence will be vital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide learners in identifying personal employment goals
• Provide coaching on workplace etiquette and skills
• Implement individualized learning assistance strategies
• Create engaging internship prospects for participants
• Coordinate with mentors to assess skill development
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Human Services required
• At least one year working with developmental disabilities
• Effective relationship-building skills
• Current First Aid and NVCI certification
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
