Responsibilities
Be part of a agile team that is helping redefine the digital landscape for Bombardier engineering
Learn and understand the existing processes and toolsets to identify potential opportunities offered by new digital technologies
Evaluate potential applications of model‑based and data‑centric engineering practices across different engineering groups (including but not limited to Interior Completions, Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems)
Help define and execute elements of the Digital Engineering transformation roadmap
Translate engineering needs into digital capabilities, working with IT, tool vendors, and internal development teams
Support development and deployment of MBSE, PLM, and digital thread capabilities, ensuring interoperability between tools and data sources
Promote engineering data governance, including source‑of‑truth principles, traceability, and lifecycle data consistency
Support definition of engineering processes, standards, and best practices in a digital context
Participate in or support governance forums (steering committees, technical reviews, councils)
Provide technical insight and guidance without acting as a traditional functional authority
Find the most effective ways to present information and facilitate decision making
Have an interest in collaborating on the artificial intelligence vision
Evolve in a flexible and hybrid work environment where part of the time can be spent working remotely (subject to change)
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
You have 5+ years of experience in engineering, ideally in a product development context, preferably in a large organization
You are familiar with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, as well as MBSE and Digital Threads concepts
You have participated in digital transformation projects, in an engineering context (an asset)
You possess strong analytical, planning, problem solving skills, as well as a good business sense
You are attentive to detail and are able to clearly convey information
You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French, and have the capacity to train and/or guide others
You have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence
You work well in a team
You are comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
You are organized, autonomous and manage your time effectively
