Responsibilities
Participate in electrical systems technical improvements & developments for existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies, etc.)
Prepare/review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on Challenger 3500/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500/8000 airplanes (production + in‑service aircraft)
Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize our business aircraft on aspects such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, customer satisfaction, etc.
Contribute to trade studies associated with new technology introduction and integration on aircraft
Learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product & process)
Manage interfaces with internal & external partners and suppliers for technical aspects
Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators
Qualifications
Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of 5 years in electrical system integration or related experience
Knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO‑160, SAE, MIL‑STD, etc.) and familiarity with airworthiness regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
Comfortable working in a team, interacting with other functional areas (airworthiness, manufacturing, engineering disciplines)
Good oral and technical writing skills; French is an asset
Can work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to achieve allocated goals
Motivated to learn and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Position Details
Locations: Bombardier Montréal, Québec or Bombardier Toronto, Ontario
Hybrid: combination of work from home from home and on‑site work
