This critical role, reporting to the Plant Manager, is essential for managing EHS&S; programs while focusing on continuous improvement and compliance. You will lead a small team of safety professionals, oversee risk assessments, and ensure adherence to key safety and environmental regulations. Engage with various stakeholders to facilitate improvement actions and maintain a solid safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a team of EHS specialists
• Implement risk-control measures and safety protocols
• Coordinate and track EHS training programs effectively
• Conduct compliance evaluations and compliance audits
• Lead emergency response plan testing and maintain documentation
Requirements:
• Completed Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of EHS experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
• Expertise in safety, compliance, and environmental legislation
• Proven skills in incident investigation and corrective action
• Permanent legal authorization to work in Canada
