Overview

Office based O&G; contract prospect in Calgary – Agilus by Synergie is recruiting a Material Coordinator in the Oil & Gas Industry. The role reports to the Manager of Material Coordination and Project Support and works with Project Managers, Project Engineering, Project Controls, Supply Chain Contract Analysts, SC Buyers, SC Expediting & Logistics, and other key stakeholders to enable efficient identification, requisitioning and coordination of materials required for Projects. The core accountability of this role is to ensure that project materials are delivered on time and to the correct location to support Project timelines.

Total rewards: $47.00 – $54.00 hourly. Year+ contract.

Key Responsibilities
Incorporate material lead time estimates from SC and develop a schedule for placing material orders in time to meet the project schedule.
Review Technical Drawings with a high level of attention to details.
Review Bill of Material (BOM) with Project Engineer to identify materials to be supplied by the Company, its Fabricators, or its Construction Contractor. Typical milestones for this include 30%, 60%, and 90% design,



and a final review of IFCs to confirm all materials are captured in the Material Coordinator’s tracking sheet.
Coordinate design deliverables from Project Engineering or the ESP to Supply Chain for the timely occurrence of Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and subsequent awards according to the Material Matrix schedule.
Work with Materials Management and Warehouse team to identify available inventory and/or surplus materials.
Create a request for a current Material Master if the existing SAP material catalogue does not provide appropriate alternatives.

Qualifications
5 years related experience in a Project setting within the oil and gas, pipeline, or power industries.
Past material management (coordination, buying, logistics, etc.) experience.
General knowledge of material and equipment used in pipeline and facilities construction.
Proficient SAP user (requisitioning & receiving).
Able to manage all activities necessary to enable effective end‑to‑end coordination of materials in support.
