Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Manager / Compliance Officer role based in Saskatoon, SK. Working under the direction of the firms CEO the General Manager / Compliance Officer will oversee many aspects of daily operations, including core staff management, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to facilitate efficient, client-centered service. This role will include active involvement in Advisor and Staff Compliance oversight including developing, maintaining and updating policies and procedures to meet applicable regulatory and industry requirements. The position includes conducting some Advisor audits, reviewing client files and documentation, and addressing potential compliance issues proactively. The role will also collaborate with the CEO / Board on business planning, performance, budgeting, and risk management, while providing guidance to team members on regulatory changes and best practices.



The General Manager / Compliance Officer will serve as a significant point of contact along with CEO for regulators, external partners, and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters.

Qualifications

- Some experience in operations supervision / management preferably within financial services industry, including working with teams and in the area of performance management.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services, with some experience working around compliance programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulations and apply them to real-world business situations.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to help prepare reports, policies, and training materials, and to communicate effectively with Advisors and Staff alike.
- High level of integrity, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information and sensitive issues.
- Robust organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fairly fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and financial services software; comfort learning new systems and technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field are an Asset and relevant compliance or regulatory certifications (e.g. CSC or BCO, LLQP or equivalent) or a willingness to acquire these are needed to fulfill the duties of the position.
- Prior experience in a compliance officer / branch manager role in a regulated financial environment is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Saskatoon, SK, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
