About the Chance

A luxury organization is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the facilities and technical operations of its Toronto location.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining a complex, high-end facility where safety, reliability, preventative maintenance, and exceptional standards are essential to the guest experience.

The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team, oversee building and pool systems, manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs, and ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently each day.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations while leading and developing a technical team. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a proactive leadership style and takes pride in maintaining exceptional facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and pool systems.
- Develop and oversee the annual preventive maintenance plan.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and proactively identify technical or safety concerns.
- Oversee pool and water systems, including temperature, chlorine, pH, filtration, hygiene, and required documentation.




- Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire prevention, emergency, and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage external vendors, maintenance contracts, inventory, equipment, and supplies.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop the maintenance team.
- Manage team schedules and ensure appropriate operational coverage.
- Partner with site leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide regular reporting on incidents, maintenance activity, and opportunities for improvement.

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 5 years of technical maintenance experience, ideally across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and/or pool systems.
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Pool operations and maintenance experience is highly valued.
- Previous experience in hospitality, wellness, luxury, or other guest-focused environments is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop and motivate a team.

Compensation

$100,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience.
