Dixon Hall seeks a dedicated Housing Preparation and Support Worker to enhance housing solutions for clients in need. This full-time role combines assessment, crisis support, and ongoing housing management efforts.
As part of the Housing Services team, you will work closely with clients to assess their needs for long-term housing and provide essential support throughout the occupancy process. Your role will involve facilitating connections with landlords, guiding clients through housing applications, and providing emotional and practical support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify client housing needs
• Engage in crisis counselling and referrals
• Facilitate individualized housing searches for clients
• Conduct supportive home visits and education sessions
• Maintain client files and provide administrative support
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience in housing support
• Relevant post-secondary education preferred
• Ability to navigate crisis intervention techniques
• Solid advocacy and mediation skills
• Explicit Vulnerable Sector Screening check
