Contribute to harm reduction efforts as a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse with Radius Community Health & Healing in Edmonton. Focus on client relationships and emergency interventions while promoting health education.
As part of the Radius team, the LPN will play a crucial role in providing client-centered care at a Supervised Consumption Site. You will support individuals facing substance use challenges and assist in direct care management. The role involves collaborating with health specialists to ensure the provision of comprehensive services that address the client's health needs and barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Conduct referrals to appropriate support services
• Provide education on safer drug use practices
• Facilitate overdose response and Naloxone training
• Monitor clients and address their medical needs
Requirements:
• Must be registered and in positive standing with CLPNA
• Experience in working with vulnerable populations required
• Knowledgeable in trauma-informed and harm reduction models
• Proficient in balancing multiple responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills with patience and understanding
