Key Responsibilities
Assisting the HSE Qualified with inspections and incidental investigations
Assisting with the orientation of recent employees
Developing of training materials
Reviewing paperwork (ie. PSI, tailgate meetings, safework procedure, trend analysis)
Monitoring and maintaining the environmental program
Recognizing and following the company’s and local legislative requirements
Analyzing site-specific trends and incidents and reporting findings to district
Gathering/reviewing/distributing safety-related statistical information
Interpreting, communicating, and reinforcing project safety standards to workforce
Required Qualifications
Ability to implement HSE program elements and secure operating procedures
Knowledge of environmental requirements and the ability to implement systems which meet compliance
Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards
The ability to determine the cause of an incident, and to initiate and implement corrective action to prevent the likelihood of recurrence
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
