This position is also responsible for the communication and consistent application of company policy and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIESLegal compliance and ethical standards:Provides leadership and consultation to Management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, salary and performance review, corrective action and documentation, coaching and development, and policy/legislation awareness.Actively participates in the department’s strategic plan by providing input and consultation on HR issues.HR & Health and Safety Information Management:Ensures effective and efficient administration in the areas of employee records and HRIS; WSIB,



and WCB claims management; compensation, andotheremployment programsChange Management:Provides consultative support as it applies to performance management and corrective action.Advises on legislative changes and/or trends in HR; ensures ongoing legal compliance with all relevant provincial employment legislation and HR policy; and ensures consistent and fair policy and practice application.Implementation of policy changes.Provides guidance and supports acquisition activity related to the integration of employees, HR systems, and HR processes.Fostering a positive work culture:Ensures the maintenance of a positive employee relations climate by assisting in development of policies and programs to improve employee satisfaction; support the implementation of activities to assess climate/culture; the promotion of inclusive communication practices; and the resolution of employee issues through the effective use of open door, and investigation and counselling techniques.Promote the Our Way culture by attending start-up meetings,
