Become a Temporary Cook with Umbrella Family and impact children's nutrition daily. This full time role in Dundas focuses on preparing healthy meals and maintaining kitchen safety.
This position offers 30 hours per week from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. You will prepare snacks and meals for children, adhere to Canada's Food Guide, and support daily center operations. Your culinary skills will directly contribute to the well-being and enjoyment of the children, all within a team-oriented and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare nutritious snacks and meals for children
• Collaborate on creating menus with the Cook Committee
• Follow pre-planned menus based on food guidelines




• Check allergy and dietary restrictions for meal adjustments
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and dishes throughout the day
Requirements:
• Previous food preparation experience an asset
• Knowledge of food safety and Canada's Food Guide
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
