Impact lives as a Full-Time Encampment Support Worker in Abbotsford with the Community Encampment Program. This role emphasizes outreach and effective support for those experiencing homelessness and substance use issues.
You will be part of a cooperative team, focusing on the provision of culturally informed case management to at-risk individuals. Your responsibilities include facilitating assessments, managing resources, and promoting harm reduction strategies tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver trauma-informed outreach and case management services
• Conduct supportive conversations to identify client needs
• Organize secure transportation to shelters and health services
• Supply essential resources,
including naloxone
• Coordinate and follow up with support services for clients
Requirements:
• Comprehensive knowledge of local Abbotsford resources
• Experience in trauma-informed care and harm reduction
• Ability to maintain qualified boundaries
• Certification in Naloxone Training
• Skill in keeping detailed logs and statistics
Engage with vulnerable populations and provide essential support services as part of the Encampment Program in Abbotsford.
