Bangkok Garden is a premier Thai restaurant serving authentic, homemade Thai food. We offer a energetic kitchen environment for a cook to support the Head Chef and 1st Cook in all food preparation and production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in preparing food in accordance with menu specifications and guidelines.
Prepare and cook all meals according to specifications.
Follow all food‑handling, health, and safety regulations, reporting any unsafe conditions.
Maintain prep and storage areas clean, tidy, and safe.
Support all stations – prep, wok, grill, etc.
Communicate and coordinate with co‑workers and food servers to ensure efficient, timely service and quality meeting customer and Chef expectations.
Contribute to a progressive work workplace by offering suggestions and ideas for improvement.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen with wok experience.
Good written and oral English skills.
Food Handlers Certificate required.
Ability to work on a flexible schedule: days, evenings, weekends.
Punctual and committed to work schedules.
Self‑motivated and shows initiative.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Capable of lifting 50 lbs.




Work in close contact with products containing seafood, shellfish, and nuts (e.g., peanuts).
Acclimatized to noise level and temperature fluctuations of a commercial kitchen.
Requires near vision for attention to detail when preparing, cutting, operating machinery/equipment.
Continuously stand for prolonged periods (≈5 hours per shift, with 10‑hour shifts).
Continuous limb coordination.
Hazards: equipment, machinery tools, fire, steam, hot surfaces, slippery surfaces.
Discomforts: temperature fluctuations.
