Become a Welding Educator at Mohawk College's Building Systems and Sustainability department. Deliver essential skills training in welding and foster student success in a full time role.
Located at the Stoney Creek campus, the full time faculty position focuses on the welding post-secondary and apprenticeship programs. Responsibilities include leading educational efforts and ensuring curriculum effectiveness. Preference will be given to qualified internal academic staff as per the Collective Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct in welding apprenticeship and post-secondary programs
• Develop and implement engaging welding curriculum
• Provide leadership in classroom management and student mentorship




• Enhance community relations to support diversity and inclusion
• Evaluate and track student progress and achievement
Requirements:
• Academic qualifications and welding certifications required
• Extensive knowledge of welding processes and best practices
• Passion for teaching and advancing equity in education
• Capability to fulfill a full time teaching schedule
• Submit academic credentials upon hiring
