Cabin Resource Management is expanding its Heritage Division and seeks an Intermediate Archaeologist passionate about cultural preservation and community relationships. Engage in rewarding fieldwork that respects Indigenous collaboration.
In this position, candidates will be instrumental in all project phases from field surveys to comprehensive reporting. The ideal Intermediate Archaeologist will possess a Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology and experience with community engagement, data recovery, and budget management. Your work will support Cabin's commitment to reconciliation with First Nations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform fieldwork including surveys and data recovery
• Coordinate with various team members for project success
• Establish relationships with Indigenous partners
• Manage Provincial site inventory records
• Develop and edit Heritage Management Plans and reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology
• Permitting eligibility with BC Archaeology Branch
• Canadian citizen or valid work permit
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with the Heritage Conservation Act
