The Salvation Army is hiring a dedicated Youth Care Worker for Gemma House. This role focuses on maintaining safety while supervising residents and providing moral support. Key responsibilities include planning life-skills activities, engaging youth in recreational programming, and collaborating with case management to ensure effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively supervise residents in facility and community
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth
• Plan and implement engaging life-skills training activities




• Facilitate youth participation in recreational programs
• Monitor safety and intervene effectively in crises
Requirements:
• Completion of a 2-year Social Service Worker diploma
• CPR First Aid and willing to complete Non-Violent Crisis interventions
• Over 1 year of experience working in a residential setting
• Robust verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
