Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is a leading healthcare institution dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical research. We are seeking a highly skilled Endocrinologist with a specialization in Transplant Endocrinology to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on enhancing the quality of life for patients undergoing solid organ, bone marrow, hematologic stem cell and islet cell transplants.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive endocrinological care to patients undergoing solid organ and islet cell transplants.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate immune therapies and endocrinological management.

Conduct patient assessments, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and interpretation of laboratory results.

Monitor and manage hormonal therapies and immunosuppressive regimens to optimize transplant outcomes.

Engage in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of the transplant endocrinology field through publications and presentations.

Educate patients and families about transplant processes, medication management, and lifestyle modifications necessary for long-term success.

Participate in the on‑call rotation and provide timely consultations for inpatient and outpatient referrals.

Qualifications
Education, Licensing, & Experience

Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory

Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Mandatory

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons certification in Endocrinology

Advanced training and expertise in Transplant Endocrinology, specifically with solid organ, hematologic and islet cell transplant patients

Demonstrated experience with immune therapies and their applications in transplant medicine.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of endocrinology and transplantation.
