Join the West Vancouver Community Services Department as a temporary, full time Youth Outreach Worker. You will deliver crucial community-based, preventive services tailored to meet age-appropriate needs. This role involves engaging with youth, providing support, and fostering personal and social skill development across various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish ongoing relationships with at-risk youth
• Facilitate outreach initiatives in the community
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assist youth in crisis
• Manage activities in Youth Services drop-in spaces
• Plan and implement engaging outreach programs and events
Requirements:
• Degree in social sciences or youth-related field
• Minimum two years’ experience in youth outreach
• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certification
• Unrestricted Class 4 BC Driver's License
• Experience in mental health and personal coaching is an asset
