Overview
The Business Development Manager for Northern Alberta will drive growth across a high potential market that’s ready for a stronger local presence. Based in Calgary, this role serves as the region’s dedicated sales lead and works closely with a supportive operations team, technical experts, and leadership group. This position is ideal for a self directed, experienced sales professional who thrives on autonomy, relationship building, and creating momentum. You’ll identify new opportunities, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver tailored security and technology solutions that genuinely solve problems. What you will be doing
Lead Generation & Sales Outreach

Proactively source new opportunities through daily outreach, cold calling, and nurturing existing relationships.

Deliver compelling sales presentations and host Lunch & Learn sessions to educate and engage prospects.

Client Needs Assessment & Solution Design

Partner with internal technical and project teams to create detailed quotes, conduct site assessments, and design customized solutions aligned with client needs.

Sales Pipeline Management

Maintain accurate, real time deal updates within CRM (HubSpot or similar) to support transparency and forecasting.

Relationship Management

Build and sustain long term client partnerships through proactive communication and a solutions focused approach that drives retention and growth.

Networking & Market Presence

Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, association meetings, and community engagements to strengthen brand visibility and expand your network.

Performance & Accountability





Participate in regular performance reviews and team meetings to align on goals, strategy, and execution.

Cross Functional Collaboration

Maintain strong communication with operations and technical teams, offering and receiving constructive feedback while fostering a collaborative environment.

What you must have

5+ Years of Proven Sales Success: Consistently exceeds targets, thrives in competitive environments, and brings a track record of measurable results.

Relationship Driven: Skilled at building trust with clients and internal teams.

Strong Communicator: Clear, persuasive, and confident in both written and verbal communication.

Presentation Expert: Able to command a room and deliver memorable, high impact presentations.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable with daily computer use, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and learning current technologies.

Self Motivated & Results Oriented: Takes initiative, prioritizes effectively, and continuously seeks improvement.

Flexible & Mobile: Willing to travel throughout Southern Alberta to meet clients and grow the territory.
