Salary: CAD $60.75 - $87.33 / hour

Job Summary:

This role is for Nurse Practitioners passionate about supporting Indigenous individuals, families, and communities within a primary care environment grounded in respect, cultural humility, and partnership.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice and write orders for treatment and medications.

Monitor ongoing care, request appropriate screening and diagnostic investigations, and interpret reports to plan treatment.

Communicate health findings, diagnoses, and priorities to patients and families; provide support and counseling.

Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to assess and diagnose patient status, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage admissions and discharges according to policies.

Prescribe drugs within statutory and regulatory standards and employer policies.

Assign and supervise nursing and health care personnel, evaluate performance, and provide education and supervision.

Participate in research and contribute to improved patient care and population health initiatives.

Implement screening and health promotion activities for at-risk populations.

Engage in interdisciplinary education through case presentations, mentoring, and knowledge exchange.

Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing,



interdisciplinary, and health system policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
