Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support all parts functions including parts sales, sourcing and ordering used parts; inventory control
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through front counter sales and shop parts sales
- Pull customer and branch parts orders, process parts credits and core inspections
- Sort and bin incoming stock, pack and label parts orders for shipment
- Participate in parts related special projects and assignments, call quality and performance initiatives as required; support and engage in all health and safety related activities
- Support in all employee experience survey (ESS) and net promoter score (NPS) activities

- NEP sourcing of CAT and non-CAT parts
- Hydraulic hose building
- Procurement of non-CAT parts
- Managing backordered parts

Qualifications

- Journeyperson Parts Certification (Red Seal) coupled with previous parts, warehouse, front counter, sales experience and Caterpillar product knowledge
- Driver’s Abstract (5 year)
- Knowledge in expanded mining considered an asset
- A high performance,



positive attitude and ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships
- Clearly demonstrate enthusiasm about work and must be able to function effectively and purposefully in a dynamic environment
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and potentially unhappy customers
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy with applicable software knowledge along with shop parts experience
- Experience with SIS, AIMS, Antares, SIMSi, InfoCast, Lawson M3, Landmark Smart Office, M3 Sales Automation and the MS Office Package considered assets
- Industry experience in mining, heavy construction and technology products considered strong assets

Key Details

- This is a site-based position located at Quintet Mine/Tumbler Ridge on a 14 x 14 days/nights shift rotation
- Marshalling point is Tumbler Ridge, BC
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain customer site access including drug & alcohol testing and may include a physical assessment
- Union membership required. Membership will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from pay. Terms governed by the collective agreement.
