APPIT Software Solutions is hiring a GCP Cloud Engineer in Toronto, Canada . Design and manage Google Cloud Platform infrastructure including GKE, Cloud Run, and BigQuery, building scalable data-intensive applications for APPIT Software in Toronto.

Responsibilities

Provision and manage GCP infrastructure including GKE clusters, Cloud Run services, and Cloud SQL instances

Design and implement data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub for analytics workloads

Build CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy with automated canary analysis

Implement GCP networking solutions including shared VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud NAT

Configure IAM policies, organization constraints, and VPC Service Controls for security compliance

Optimize GCP costs through committed use discounts, preemptible VMs, and resource rightsizing

Requirements





3-6 years of cloud engineering experience with significant hands‑on GCP exposure

Strong experience with GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL

Proficiency in Terraform for GCP infrastructure provisioning and management

Understanding of GCP networking including VPCs, firewall rules, load balancers, and Cloud DNS

Experience with GCP data services including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage

Strong scripting abilities in Python or Go for automation and tooling

Nice to Have

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certification

Experience with Anthos for multi‑cloud Kubernetes management
