In this part time role, you'll report to the Sechelt Shelter Manager and supervise the peer team at the Sunshine Coast Overdose Prevention Site. Your responsibilities include promoting safer drug use and collaborating with community members to reduce stigma. With a focus on mental health and community outreach, you'll utilize your lived experience to foster client safety and support services effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support the peer team at the site
• Promote safer drug consumption and support client safety




• Compile user statistics and manage peer attendance
• Collaborate with the Shelter management for operational efficiency
• Provide harm reduction resources to the community
Requirements:
• Diploma in community social services
• Two years of relevant experience with mental health
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Transparent criminal record check
• Peer designation for this role
