Join the Region of Waterloo in a vital role as a Museum and Archival Collections Management Assistant. This temporary position focuses on data consistency and compliance during a crucial transition to a recent archival database system.
You will assist with a variety of collections management projects, ensuring the integrity of records as you conduct data entry and verification. Your research skills will be crucial in identifying and clarifying artifact histories. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you engage with multiple departments throughout this process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct data entry and clerical tasks for records management
• Manage inventory and cataloging of artifacts and archival records




• Research and verify historical context of artifacts
• Update artifacts' storage locations in the database
• Assist in scanning images for digital records
Requirements:
• College diploma in museum or archival studies or similar
• At least 6 months of experience in collections management
• Familiarity with archival databases like AtoM
• Robust computer and research skills
• Willingness to travel within Waterloo Region
