Electrical Estimator

Experience and Education

5+ years of electrical industrial field experience

Relevant education (university degree, college diploma) or equivalent experience (10+ years as an industrial electrical journeyman or supervisor)

Experience estimating hours and material costs for E&I; work

Skills and Knowledge

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code

Ability to read construction drawings (single lines, cable schedules, layouts, wiring diagrams, etc.)

Hands‑on experience installing electrical equipment, cables, raceways, lighting, heat trace, grounding, etc.

Preferred Skills

Experience and knowledge in estimating Instrumentation scopes of work

Proficient with Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6, or Oracle Primavera Cloud

Familiar with Excel VBA and Power Query

Experience with material procurement

Experience reviewing project contracts





Experience with fibre optics, high voltage

Job Responsibilities

Reports to lead estimators

Create project proposals including:

Reviewing project scope of work, drawings, specs, standards, and other documents

Performing electrical takeoff of drawings and bills of material

Applying electrical labour using the NECA Manual

Compiling material lists for procurement

Create project execution plans

Assist in determining project staff and equipment

Assist in creating project schedules

Engage vendors and subcontractors

Coordinate proposal reviews with lead estimators

Estimate change orders for current projects

Attend site visits

Track time spent on estimates and fill out weekly timesheets

Participate in estimating staff training and improvement

Work Location

London, Ontario office.

7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30‑minute unpaid lunch

Compensation and Benefits

Permanent full‑time position

Competitive hourly wage based on experience
