Become a Community Mental Health Worker at Valuable Shepherd, working Friday to Sunday nights. This role is pivotal in supporting tenants at Emmaus Place and Mathias Place.
You will provide primary case management and address the mental health needs of tenants through assessment, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling. The ideal candidate will exhibit creativity, independence, and a solid understanding of anti-oppressive practices. A minimum of three years in mental health care is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage casework and support plans for tenants
• Conduct assessments to identify tenant needs
• Offer crisis prevention and supportive counseling

Requirements:
• Post-secondary qualification in social or health services
• At least three years’ experience in the mental health field
• CPR certification or readiness to obtain it
• Ability to work independently in various situations
• Competency in French or other languages is considered an asset
