Elevate your electrical expertise as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician in Hay River, NT. This role involves construction and maintenance of transmission systems across the South Slave region, with relocation assistance provided.
As part of the Transmission Distribution Operations Division, you will perform Journeyperson-level work on electrical systems, including both underground and streetlight networks. Your skills in maintaining power distribution lines will be crucial, along with your ability to conduct inspections safely and effectively across multiple locations. Routine travel within the regions will be required to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to NTPC Health & Safety programs
• Restore systems during power disturbances




• Replace poles and conductors as needed
• Construct transmission lines from 5 kV to 115 kV
• Perform maintenance and inspections on substations
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Power Lineperson certification required
• Minimum five years relevant experience
• Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
• Knowledge of specialized power testing equipment
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification preferred
