Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) – Night Shift

Position Summary

A leading hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its night shift team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse acute care population while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to patients on a Medical/Surgical unit.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.

Monitor patient conditions, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.





Qualifications

Required

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.

Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital.

Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).

Robust clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Hourly Pay: $28.00–$46.00 , based on experience and qualifications.
