Working under the Fleet Operations Manager, the Mechanic Lead Hand is pivotal in the upkeep and repair of transit vehicles and city equipment. Proficiency in diagnosing issues with diesel and gasoline systems, alongside the ability to handle tools and fabrication, is essential. You will also manage equipment maintenance schedules and document repair work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect damaged vehicles and determine necessary repairs
• Maintain garage tools and oversee PM schedules
• Handle ordering and inventory for parts




• Support compliance with safety regulations and inspections
• Respond swiftly to vehicle emergencies during operations
Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School Diploma
• Valid Ontario Truck and Coach Technician Certification
