At the County of Elgin, you will be a key player in organizing diverse recreational activities for the residents of a long-term care facility. In collaboration with medical professionals, you will ensure activities meet therapeutic needs while fostering a sense of belonging and community among the residents. Attention to detail in reporting progress is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational programs
• Work closely with outside organizations for resource sharing




• Document and track resident participation and outcomes
• Set priorities and schedule activities based on resident needs
• Conduct program evaluations to enhance effectiveness
Requirements:
• Certification in Recreation and Leisure Studies or similar
• Experience in a geriatric or therapeutic setting
• Understanding of Activation/Recreation principles
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with activities
• Valid Criminal Record Check and TB documentation
