- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a similar academic qualification in these fields.
- MBAorsimilarpost-graduatebusinessqualificationisnotrequiredbutaplus.
- Hands-onexperiencewithcutting-edgesoftwaretechnologiesbeingdeveloped,tested,andcommercializedinindustrialsectors.Deepunderstandingoffoundationalsoftwaretechnologies,includingAIandMachineLearning,andtheirimpactontransformingindustrialsectors.
- Severalyearsofexperienceworkingintherelevantindustry,eitherforastart-uporacorporate,withinsightintothemostpressingchallengesinbuildingandscalingsoftwareproductsandsolutions.
- Preferably,experienceincollaborationsbetweenstart-upcompaniesandlargeestablishedcorporations.




- Itisfurtherastrongplusifthecandidatehassomeventureinvestingexperience.
- Curiouspersonalitywithoutstandinganalyticalskillswiththeabilitytoefficientlyandeffectivelyanalyzeonatechnical,commercialandstrategiclevel.
- Strongcommunicationandinterpersonalskillstocommandtherespectofthecounterpartiesandteammemberswiththeabilitytoworkacrossmultipledisciplinesaspartofateam.
- Energeticself-starterwithstamina,workingeffectivelyaspartofasmallteamandtheabilitytoworkinanenvironmentwithrapidlychangingdeliverables.

- Usingyourbroadtechnicalknowledgeandcross-functionalnetworkstoanticipateandaddresscustomerneeds,includingidentifyingtechnicalchallengesandspecificgrowthopportunitiestoprepareinvestmentstrategyrecommendationsfortheseindustrysegments.




- Mappingmarketsub-sectorstofindthemostinterestingstart-upcompaniesinyoursector.
- Sourcingandanalyzingstartupsfromatechnology,intellectualproperty,product,businessmodelandoperationalperspectiveandpreparinginvestmentrecommendationsaspartofadealteam.
- Aspartofadealteam,youcoordinateandperformduediligenceonthetechnology,product,market,businessstrategy,competitivepositionandmanagement.
- Providingsupporttoportfoliocompaniesandcloselymonitoringtheirprogressonkeyperformanceindicators.
- BeinginstrumentalinbuildingoutEmerald’snetworkofexpertsintherelatedindustryandtechnologyfields.
- Traveling,asrequired,toparticipateinduediligence,attendindustryandventureconferencesandliaisewithportfoliocompaniesandourstrategicinvestors.
- Finally, engaging and maintaining strong relationships with our key strategic investors with a particular focus on Industrial Software and IT topics. Supporting them in their open innovation and investment activities through frequent interaction.
