Join the Capital Planning & Operations team at the University of Current Brunswick as an experienced Shift Operator 1. You will assist in the operation of a high-pressure steam heating plant consisting of five boilers, adapting to recent techniques and technologies. Your impact includes ensuring safety protocols and routine maintenance to support campus operations and community welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in operating high-pressure steam boilers safely
• Order wood resources and manage silo deliveries
• Maintain clear access to the receiving hopper
• Adapt to innovative technologies in steam systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on boiler equipment
Requirements:
• Valid third class Power Engineer License
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out protocols
• Experience in high-pressure heating plant operations is an asset
• Capability to handle emergencies effectively
• Computer skills are an advantage
