Elevate government storytelling as an OIC Video Producer in Victoria, BC. This hybrid role encompasses all facets of production, from filming to editing, creating impactful video content.
As part of the BC Public Service’s Government Communication and Public Engagement team, the Video Producer will report to the Manager of Visual Production. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, including documentary and social media video production. You will be pivotal in delivering diverse video content for senior government officials, contributing both creatively and technically to the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality videos for government communication objectives
• Handle livestreams, media briefings, and recorded announcements
• Collaborate on ideation and peer feedback within the team
• Edit and finalize video content for various platforms
• Ensure effective storytelling through visual content
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in videography, digital media, or related field
• Three years of experience in video/photo production
• Valid BC driver's license (minimum class 5)
• Ability to work adaptable schedule, including weekends
• Experience with multicultural captioning or subtitling
