In this role, you'll provide essential support in our kitchen, adhering to Canada’s Food Guide while ensuring food safety compliance. Collaborate with the Head Cook or Manager to manage food inventory and execute creative cooking methods. Your contributions heighten our mission to deliver food essentials to the community efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals following approved menus
• Follow strict Food-Protected practices during meal preparation
• Rotate inventory and check food temperatures regularly




• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and compliance with safety standards
• Assist with recording meal statistics and volunteer hours
Requirements:
• Completion of a post-secondary program, Red Seal Certification required
• One year of experience in an industrial kitchen
• Food Protected Level 1 and Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification
• Robust communication skills and team-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle kitchen equipment
