Support community members at Belkin House, Vancouver as a Support Services Worker with The Salvation Army. This position focuses on safety and client interaction in a supportive setting.
As a Support Services Worker, you'll engage with staff and residents, managing inquiries and promoting compliance with facility policies. The role involves monitoring security systems, responding to crisis situations, and maintaining safety standards. Your ability to remain calm under pressure and your interpersonal skills will be key to your success in providing outstanding support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle client inquiries professionally and courteously
• Ensure security through surveillance monitoring
• Assist in emergency communication procedures
• Maintain safety during facility rounds
• Record incidents and maintain logs
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
• First Aid/CPR training certification
• Experience with mental health or addiction understanding
• Solid communication abilities and confidentiality maintenance
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and comply with screenings
