Become a Fire Ranger with the Fire Department at the Army Training Centre in Meaford. This role focuses on fire duties and emergency response while offering competitive compensation.
As a Fire Ranger, your primary responsibilities will include responding to structural fires, Hazmat emergencies, and carrying out routine inspections of fire apparatus. With two years of fire service experience, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to safety. Be prepared for physically demanding settings and adhere strictly to fire protection protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to wildland and structural fire emergencies
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of fire apparatus
• Maintain fire breaks using chainsaws and hand tools
• Perform ITM of fire alarm and suppression systems
• Participate in 16-hour shifts as required
Requirements:
• High school diploma required
• Minimum 2 years in the fire service
• Red Cross First Aid & CPR/AED level C
• NFPA 1001 level 1 & 2 certifications
• DZ Driver’s licence and Level 2 security clearance
