Reporting directly to the In-House Legal Counsel, your role will center around administrative and clerical duties vital for the Legal Services Department. Prepare court documents for protection and adoption applications in accordance with relevant laws. While you will not engage with families directly, your behind-the-scenes work is invaluable for advocacy and support for Indigenous children and youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft legal documents and materials for court
• Assist with administrative tasks in the Legal Services Department
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulations




• Uphold guidelines established by the department
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and legal counsel
Requirements:
• Previous administrative experience in a legal setting preferred
• Understanding of Child, Youth and Family Services Act
• Application form must be completed with resume
• Preference for applicants identifying as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
