Become a Clinical Therapist with the Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing, providing vital mental health and addiction support services in North Bay, Ontario. This full time role involves assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
In this contract position, you will play an essential role in delivering short-term, solution-focused counselling for individuals, couples, youth, and families. Your expertise in trauma-informed and harm reduction practices will help clients navigate mental health and addiction challenges. Collaboration with internal teams and community partners is key in promoting overall awareness and developing resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop treatment plans
• Deliver psychotherapy to individuals, couples, youth, and families




• Facilitate group counselling and psychoeducational workshops
• Manage crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions
• Advocate for clients and refer them to community resources
Requirements:
• Master’s in Social Work or related field; BSW with registration preferred
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in mental health
• Experience with adult and youth populations
• Knowledge of brief therapy models and concurrent disorders
• Valid Ontario driver's license and vehicle access
