The eco lead will work closely with Smokey to bring experienced teams and novel primitives into the Berachain ecosystem. This involves engaging with early-stage groups, identifying collaboration opportunities, and driving TVL and user growth. The role prefers in-person presence at our Toronto office, with exceptions in extreme cases.



Candidates with experience in business development and partnerships at major L1s or leading DeFi protocols are preferred.
Requirements: 3+ years in business development, sales, finance, or venture capital, preferably in blockchain or fintech, with a focus on DeFi
Solid understanding of blockchain technology, particularly EVM and Cosmos ecosystems
Knowledge of current DeFi, NFT-fi, GameFi landscapes
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Experience structuring complex multi-stakeholder partnerships
Experience building and scaling sales/BD/partnership teams
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize features based on market needs
Experience in both TradFi/Web2 and crypto-native business development initiatives is a plus
Responsibilities: Serve as the onboarding point for teams exploring the Berachain ecosystem
Identify synergies between Berachain’s infrastructure and potential DApps
Support the development of "super DApps" that could define the ecosystem
Develop partnerships with native DApps and builders
Leverage networks and the Berachain brand to attract top builders and deploy blue-chip DApps
Collaborate with engineering to define and prioritize product features
Maintain a deep understanding of the blockchain market and competitors
Work cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches and improvements
Engage with users, protocols, and stakeholders for feedback and insights
