Become an Excavator Operator with Dexter Construction in Wolfville, NS, for a full time seasonal position. You will utilize your skills in safe operations and material grading on various sites.
This role is focused on the safe and productive operation of excavators, beginning in May and extending through December, with year-round opportunities. Responsibilities include following the ground crew's instructions, ensuring excavation accuracy, and maintaining safety protocols. You will also perform equipment inspections and communicate effectively with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment to excavate and grade
• Follow trench excavation specifications accurately
• Conduct safety and maintenance checks daily




• Alert Foreman to maintenance needs and repairs
• Ensure compliance with OH&S; requirements
Requirements:
• Requires 2 years of practical construction experience
• Must understand construction site protocols
• Experience with advanced grading techniques preferred
• Robust communication skills for teamwork
• 8" CSA approved steel toe boots required
