WVML is looking for a temporary part time Public Service Assistant passionate about enhancing community experiences through exceptional service. Your role will emphasize technology support and program delivery.
This part time position at West Vancouver Memorial Library lasts approximately 3 months. You will use your readers' advisory skills to support the library and effectively communicate with visitors and team members. The ideal candidate enjoys working with diverse populations and troubleshooting tech-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide superb customer service and readers’ advisory assistance
• Communicate with community members and other departments
• Offer tech instruction using various devices




• Support in-person and virtual library program delivery
• Promote library services through tours and presentations
Requirements:
• Relevant certificate or diploma in Library studies
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Experience assisting older adults and people with accessibility needs
• Patience and adaptability in wide-ranging situations
• Bilingualism is a preferred asset
