This social worker position within the Provincial Child Protection Investigation Team involves delivering a range of services under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act. Essential skills include clinical assessments, service planning, effective communication, and collaboration with community resources to enhance safety for children and families. The role addresses both direct service and case management responsibilities while promoting equity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough child protection investigations
• Develop clinical assessments for children's safety
• Provide direct support to children and families
• Manage ongoing case contact and documentation
• Prepare legal cases and represent in court
Requirements:
• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Social Work with experience
• Registration eligibility with PEI Social Work Board
• Valid PEI driver’s license and vehicle access
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge in child development and family dynamics
