Join AltaML as a fractional Director of Legal, working part time to guide commercial legal strategies and risk management for a growing tech innovator. This role requires expertise in contract work and corporate governance two to three days weekly.

In this position, reporting to the CFO, you will oversee legal risk while managing external counsel and providing robust support for the board and investor interactions. This fractional role allows you to engage with diverse clients while contributing significant value to AltaML’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop contract templates and workflows for efficiency • Ensure corporate governance and compliance across jurisdictions • Prepare comprehensive board and investor materials • Assist with transactions, including M&A; and partnerships • Optimize management of external legal resources

Requirements: • Active J.D. member of Alberta Law Society • Minimum of 5 years in legal roles, with in-house experience preferred • Proven skills in corporate governance and cap table oversight • Working knowledge of technology and contract law • Solid judgment and communication abilities
