Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Painter role based in Halifax, NS. The Painter is responsible for preparing interior and exterior surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, patching, taping, and priming to ensure high-quality finishes. Day-to-day tasks include applying paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, setting up and protecting job sites, and maintaining tools and equipment. The role involves working in a team, following project timelines and safety procedures, and ensuring each job meets company standards for cleanliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.



Painters may also interact with clients in office, answer basic questions, and contribute to a positive, professional work setting.

Qualifications
Experience working with paint products and basic knowledge of paint properties and application techniques.
Practical skills in Painting and Decorating, including surface preparation and finishing for residential and commercial projects.
Knowledge of coatings and their appropriate use on different substrates and environments.
Hands-on experience with Painting and Spray Painting, including secure and accurate use of spray equipment.
Ability to follow safety guidelines, handle ladders and equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail, commitment to clean work practices, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable transportation to job sites in Halifax, NS, and flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
Previous skilled painting experience or relevant trade experience is an asset; apprenticeship or training in painting trades is beneficial.
