Become an essential part of the Maternity team at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Registered Nurse specializing in Lactation Services in New Westminster, B.C. Focus on promoting breastfeeding for new mothers.

This part-time position is dedicated to enhancing breastfeeding practices and supporting mothers during their postpartum journey. You will conduct assessments, provide education, and collaborate with healthcare colleagues to ensure the best care. Your nursing practices will play a vital role in improving breastfeeding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and education for new breastfeeding mothers
• Assess, evaluate, and recommend plans for breastfeeding issues
• Assist mothers in establishing and maintaining lactation




• Keep detailed records and follow up on patient care
• Participate on committees enhancing breastfeeding initiatives

Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
• A minimum of two years experience in neonatal or perinatal nursing
• Robust verbal and written communication skills
