Lead Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Lead Project Engineer to join our team.

Location: Mississauga, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation.
- Responsible for managing team efforts to achieve development schedule and performance goals within allocated cost and is required to provide technical authority for the assigned program(s).
- Overall technical coordination of design and development activities within the engineering functions to ensure that all requirements are addressed
- Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules
- Management of the program plan including scope, schedule, cost, technical, resource, and risk management




- Manage the product definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation & verification, and introduction to production
- Program tracking and reporting using Project scheduling, reporting, and financial management tools as appropriate
- Focal point with all internal departments and potential customer interface
- The leadership of customer design reviews, technical co-ordination meetings, and engineering reviews with support from appropriate functional groups as required
- Support change management including scope, schedule, cost, technical, resource, and risk assessment as well as program change requests

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Solid engineering experience in leading multidisciplinary teams
- Project engineering experience including project planning, change management, earned value reporting, and experience with computer-based scheduling and reporting tools
